Dr. Latha Jadhav, a Paterson native who took over her mother’s 30-year-old pediatric practice upon her retirement in 2012, treats patients in a colorful, family-oriented office. The growing practice recently welcomed physician assistant Daniella Amri to better meet the needs of the community. A graduate of George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Amri is passionate about advocating for children’s mental health and well-being.
Personalized, Convenient Care
The practice cares for children through all stages of growth while providing a comfortable, supportive environment for families. “Our emphasis is always on families. We know all of our patients—and their parents and grandparents—by name,” says Dr. Jadhav, a mother of three. “As we grow, we continue to stay true to our commitment to make our patients feel like part of the family.”
Helping Kids Grow
Dr. Jadhav has a special interest in childhood obesity and literacy. Her office often holds health fairs, and she counsels families on nutrition and well-balanced meals. Just Kidz Pediatrics was also the first private practice in the county to enroll in the Reach Out and Read program to promote literacy.
“I love watching kids grow—not only physically, but intellectually—and knowing that I helped set them up for a brighter, healthier future,” says Dr. Jadhav, whose patients refer to her as Dr. J. “I treat my patients as I’d want my own children to be treated.”
Dr. Jadhav graduated from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Saint Peter’s University Hospital. She maintains hospital privileges at Holy Name Medical Center, Hackensack University Medical Center, Saint Barnabas Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.
“I like to think my patients will grow with me over the next 30 years, the same way they grew with my mother,” she says.
